I quit gigging years ago, but I wouldn’t traces with it, there plenty of high quality boards out there that are roadworthy. On the whole, everything feels well made, with the main case made of tough black plastic on a metal chassis. This first-of-its-kind keyboard is ideal for performance, starting with a premium, fully weighted, hammer-action keyboard, adding MPC pads, Q-Link controls, and a selection of MPC technologies. This thing is really heavy. The action is a little noisy, but if you’re not recording yourself singing while playing it doesn’t matter. This is an excellent keyboard. This one popped up at bucks and low cost shipping, so I snagged mpm88, and am glad I did. In all, the Akai MPK88 delivers 72 assignable controls, with assignable inputs that include an mp8k8 pedal, footswitch, pitch bend and modulation wheel.
